Birthday baby dance video, from one photo

Birthday clips are the second most common reason people animate a baby photo after a trend copy. The occasion changes what belongs in the frame: balloons, a cake, party outfits, or a soft pastel baby-shower set. Everything else — the mode, the cost, the checks — stays the same as any other baby dance video.

The workflow here is deliberately small. One photo, one occasion prompt, one draft, then a single change if something is off.

What a birthday clip costs

A 5-second vertical clip in image to video costs 300 credits without audio, and 600 credits with audio. A 10-second version without audio is 600 credits. There are no free credits, so make the first 5-second draft the test: the Try pack is $9.90 one-time for 600 credits, enough for that draft and one fix before committing to a longer cut.

If you plan to make one version per guest or per family member, look at the credit packs on the pricing page rather than subscribing by default; a one-time pack covers a single event better than a monthly plan.

The photo is doing most of the work

Party photos are usually the weak link:

  • Group photos. The provider may animate a face you did not intend to feature. Crop to one child first.
  • Cake-face photos. Movement reads better when the face is visible and the mouth is not full.
  • Flash photos. Harsh shadows confuse motion. A daylight photo with a plain background produces a more stable result.
  • Party outfits. Busy patterns can shimmer during movement. A simpler outfit animates more cleanly, even if it is less festive.

One good photo plus the right occasion wording beats three mediocre photos.

Sharing the result

  • Send the file directly to family rather than relying on the studio history to keep it.
  • For invitations, export a short loop and place the text in your design tool, not in the prompt — generated text is unreliable.
  • Check the finished export for provider marks before printing or posting; the watermark guide explains what to look at.
  • Get permission from parents before publishing a clip of someone else's child, and mention that the video was generated when the audience would expect it.
